Striding fearlessly through the ravages of dastardly diseases, cocking a snook at villainous viruses and delivering a boot to the buttocks of global pandemics, God's Holy Trousers has worked tirelessly to bring you their latest album You'd Be Safer At the Back.

Jazz Cat Hat is the eagerly awaited ninth album by prog-hop pioneers God’s Holy Trousers. Written and recorded by Mountjoy and Morrid whilst on an extended holiday in the Galapagos Islands, Jazz Cat Hat sees the Trousers charting new, if highly dubious, musical territory and wearing ever more elaborate leg wear. Rumours of an impending world tour are doubtless little more than idle tittle-tattle so instead why not settle back in your favourite padded cell and let this latest offering from the Trouserchaps drive you even madder?

God's Holy Trousers's eight album is a breezy and upbeat
musical
exploration of war and the existence of motorway service stations. Most
notably the Trousers have observed that since the opening of the UK's
first service station at Watford Gap in November 1959 not a single
World War has been recorded. Is there a future where international
conflict and Little Chef can coexist? Listen to find out ...

GHT's fifth studio album is available to listen and download. The music is written and performed by Morrid and Mountjoy, variously performing on guitars, keyboards, bass, drums and banjo. Maternik plays Cello and newly-arrived-in-the-UK French sensation Yacine provides additional vocals. And with the Moksha Man's trademark Blitzkreig rap all the over the record, we have included lyrics for all tracks so you too can sing along.

"The fourth outing from London's GHT shows them at their most cutting edge, finding cacophony from melody and discord where harmony once reigned. It is a tour de force, the Tour de France and a Tongan tourist with Tourette's altogether, like vomity slops in a bucket." - Morrid's mother. |

Arguably the Trousers' magnum opus, Arrant Pony was unleashed in early 2009 to stunned silence by the critics, who clearly had never heard anything like it before. Indeed, since its release, only one critic, Huw Hugh Hewson of the Independent, has dared to encapsulate the subtle complexity of the album's mix of Prog Hop, Jazz, Reggae and Funk saying that he "had never heard anything like it before; please can I go and lie down now?" Despite disputed sightings on the continent, Hewson's subsequent disappearance remains a mystery. |

The Trousers' eagerly awaited second release was heralded as a triumph (albeit of luck over substance) by most music critics, while legendary fusion pundit Harry 'The Impaler' McNally termed the album, "the logical successor to a frontal lobotomy". It was also mentioned on Desert Island Discs by Colonel Gadaffi, who argued that, whilst he disliked the music, the disc made for a pleasing frisbee. Amid such hype, PMP enjoyed the commercial success it deserved. As yet, only 5 copies have been sold and the Trousers are awaiting legal proceedings from their record company regarding losses incurred. |

God's Holy Trouser's debut album Eat My House Keys was released in 2007 to almost complete critical and public indifference, reaching only 164 in the UK Prog-Hop charts. In recent years a number of name-checks by influential artists as diverse as Rolf Harris and Slipknot have seen a gradual rekindling of interest. Eat My House Keys is now seen as something of a classic, with original copies changing hands for as much as 38 on E-Bay. |
